Accreditation

Liquidfriction Adventure offers accredited certification as part of our development programs, the following are available for the relevant activities.

National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme levels 1-5

The NICAS is a fantastic way to introduce individuals taking part in indoor climbing sessions to the skills and techniques they will need to progress their climbing ability, you do not have to be a pro to gain this award the emphasis is all on taking part and having a go

Kayaking and canoeing Paddle sport awards levels 1-6

The paddle sport awards have been recently introduced by the BCU and the WCA as an introductory award scheme for participants to work towards improving their skills and gain awards for it, we can offer the full award scheme as part of an on going training program ideally suited for after school activities or summer activity programs.

The star awards are for individuals 16 years of age and above wanting to progress through the award scheme and develop a high standard of skill level, we can offer the following.

1 star kayak and canoe award

2 star kayak and canoe award

3 star kayak and canoe award

Foundation Safety and Rescue Training

This certificate is aimed at individuals wanting to progress onto coaching qualifications or anyone who would like to develop their knowledge of water safety and rescue.

Awareness water rescue

This water safety course is an ideal introduction to the dangers of water hazards and trains participants in the precautions and preventative measures you can use to prevent a potentially dangerous incident form occurring and what to do in the event of an emergency.

First Aid

Emergency First Aid at Work

A HSE approved training course where nominated emergency first aiders, or anyone wanting a comprehensive one day first aid can attend, you will learn basic life saving, first aid and workplace health and safety regulations.

First Aid at Work

As well as the emergency first aid at work course we can offer the more comprehensive training and assessment of the first aid at work certificate. The course is usually offered as three consecutive days, however, we also offer it as a split course over several weeks on request

After completing a final assessment successful candidates receive an HSE approved certificate valid for three years.

This course is legally compliant with the current Health and Safety (first aid) Regulations 1981. Upon successful completion of this three day course, first aiders receive certification to allow them to practise for three years after which a re-qualification course becomes necessary. It is strongly recommended that you update your skills by taking an annual refresher.
